Resonate is a worship arts camp for high school students who are passionate about worship and using the gifts God has given them to serve Him. Our goal is to teach and model worship arts and to encourage a commitment to worship ministry in the local church. High school students will love this week that has it all! A camp full of worship, choir, orchestra, stomp, technical arts, song writing, and more! Resonate students are current and future leaders in our churches. Great instructors and experienced leaders help make this an outstanding week that provides first class instruction and inspiration.

Mentors for the camp must be high school graduates, preferably in college, and no older than 23 years of age at the time of the camp.

Mentors must register with the BGCO Worship and Music office no later than May 6, 2019. They will undergo background checks. In addition, they must also be approved by the Convention staff and the camp director.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Being present on Monday afternoon and evening for pre-camp set up and the rehearsal for the Tuesday evening worship presentation

Most Asked Questions

  1. What should I expect as far as accommodations are concerned?

With camp being at OBU, everyone will be staying in their campus dorms (most of the rooms have two twin size beds). You will need to provide your own sleeping bag/bedding and towels.

  1. What about the meals?

Everyone will eat in the school’s grill; breakfast, lunch, and dinner (with the exception of only eating dinner on Tuesday and only breakfast on Saturday). They have a variety of stations in order to offer a variety of food. OBU controls the menu.

  1. Who will be in the dorm room with me?

When you fill out the registration form, there is the opportunity to indicate who you would like to room with. We do ask that you be flexible in this as we try our best to place you with who you prefer, but there are times when it may not be possible. We will place everyone with a “roommate,” beginning with those who have listed a preference and then proceeding to those who have not.

4.   What does my registration include?

Your registration includes lodging, meals, Resonate t-shirt, OBU fees and program costs. Your registration directly funds the ability to provide this retreat.
